07/12/09 - Junior Community Team Charity Bag Pack
On Saturday 5th December members of Hart's first Junior Community Team took part in a Charity Bag Pack at Tesco in Camberley. The group of 10-11 year olds helped raise money for a Muscular Dystrophy charity while assisting shoppers with their packing.
The Junior Community Team, organised by 'Safer Hart' and Hampshire County Council are an after school club, currently based at Frogmore Junior School and learn about all aspects of the Community in a fun and interactive way including lessons from local PCSO Mike Swankie, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, Litter Picks and more. Organiser Richard Denham said "We had an excellent reception from the shoppers and we raised a lot of money for this worthwhile charity, thank you to Tesco for allowing us to be there".
