07/01/10 - Action Day for Crondall

THE Safer Hart partnership is to run a special Action Day in Crondall on Tuesday January 26. Action Days give agencies from the partnership the chance to work together with the community in a small area of the district to improve both the environment and community spirit.

During the day there will be increased, high visibility patrols by the police and community safety teams, litter picks, graffiti removal, vulnerable vehicle and property checks and many other initiatives.

A surgery will be held at the New Life Church coffee shop (2-3pm) where there will be a chance to speak to local councillors Nippy Singh and John Bennison plus representatives of the police and Hart’s community safety team.

Cllr Singh, who is Cabinet Member for Partnerships, commented: “This is an excellent opportunity for local residents to let us know what issues are affecting them in the community.”

There will also be a best front garden competition with the winner receiving £25 worth of garden vouchers. To nominate a garden or for more information about the Action Day contact the organiser, Richard Denham on 01252 774229.
