Fleet Extended Services Directory
In 2005 the DfES set out a core offer of Extended Services which it expects all children and families will be able to access at or through their local school by 2010. The 5 services are:
1. High quality 8am - 6pm childcare provided on school site or through local providers
2. A varied menu of activities including study support and leisure activities
3. Parenting support
4. Wider activities helping to re-engage pupils in school and learning
5. Swift and easy access to specialist support services
The Extended Services initiative hopes to raise standards regarding learner motivation, aspiration, achievement and behaviour as well as supporting the Every Child Matters Agenda.
