Who Are The Community Support Team
The Community Support Team has been in operation in Hart for a number of years, and it is their aim to help to build a safer hart while improving a sense of community spirit.
Why have Community Support?
The Community Support Team have been employed to improve the appearance of public areas, help reduce crime and build community confidence. They will also work together with different generations in an attempt to bridge the gap between young and old, helping to reduce the fear of crime.
How will I recognise the Community Support Team?
Our team will be visible throughout the district on a day-to-day basis visiting a variety of locations and responding to calls. They will be dressed in Black trousers and a blue polo shirt, with a blue fleece bearing the 'Safer Hart' logo or a jacket, which says Community Support.
How will they help?
The Community Support Team will work with you to help resolve your concerns about the area or any problems you may be experiencing. They will also be promoting community safety, and responsible citizenship, and noting environmental improvements, whilst helping to organise and facilitate community events.
How can I help?
The Community Support Team will be partially led by community priorities. Residents can help set these priorities by bringing particular issues to the attention of the wardens. They will not be able to make large changes to the district on their own as they need the help of local residents, therefore the more input and help they receive from the community the more able they are to make a difference.
