Graffiti Busting Week
Graffiti Busting Week is held once a year and during the week graffiti is removed across the whole district.
The Community Safety Team only removes graffiti during this week as removal is not usually our responsibility. Graffiti Busting Week was set up to help combat issues with graffiti on private property, which can encourage ASB and heightens the fear of crime.
Before Graffiti Busting Week we advertise the date in order to receive as many reports as possible from residents - graffiti reporting forms are made available at many outlets in the district, and our Community Wardens also hand out permission slips.
This is a highly visible initiative, which impacts greatly on the environment that we live and work in, whilst improving people’s perception of crime and disorder.
The next Graffiti Busting Week is due to take place from 20th - 24th September 2010.
