What is Anti-Social Behaviour

The government defines anti-social behaviour as: -

‘Behaviour which caused or is likely tocause, harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household’

(Crime and Disorder Act, 1998)


As such, Anti-social behaviour may include:

- Harassment

- Joyriding

- Verbal abuse

- Begging

- Criminal Damage

- Vandalism

- Noise Nuisance

- Throwing Missiles

- Graffiti

- Assault

- Vehicle Crime

- Engaging in threatening behaviour in large groups

- Racial Abuse

- Smoking or Drinking whilst under age

- Substance Misuse

- Intimidating Behaviour
